Mary A. (Serlenga) Field of Bristol, Pa. passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, at Sunrise of Lower Makefield. She was 91. Mary was born in Burlington, N.J., later moving to Bristol in 1970 after marrying her wonderful husband, Eugene Field. Mary worked as a meat wrapper at Acme Markets for many years. She was a devoted member of St. Ann Church and for many years volunteered with her husband to assist with various church functions. She belonged previously to St. Ann Women's Club, Senior Citizen Club and the Red Hats Club of Bristol. Her family will miss her Italian cooking and baking. Mary was the daughter of the late Luciano and Rose Serlenga of Burlington, N.J., and was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene Field; sisters, Carmella and Esther; and brothers, Wedie, James, Eli and Louis. She is survived by her daughter, Shelley Carr and her husband, Richard, of Lake Ariel; son, Eugene Field and wife, Eileen; her grandchildren, Charles, Richard III, Joseph, Ashley, Ryan and Nick; and her great grandsons, Braden, Paxton and Lucas. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Barbara Serlenga, Joanne Werner, Sylvia Marozzi and Mary Lou Field, as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance St., Bristol, PA 19007, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will be held in St. Mark Cemetery, Bristol, Pa. In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made in her name to St. Mark Church, 1025 Radcliffe St., Bristol, PA 19007, or to the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market St., Suite 103, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
