GREENCASTLE — A 73-year-old Hagerstown woman died as a result of injuries suffered in an accident Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of South Washington Street and U.S. 11 in Antrim Township.

The woman, whose name has not been released, attempted to turn left from South Washington Street onto U.S. 11 at 2:29 p.m. and pulled into the path of a northbound vehicle driven by Harold Lenhart Jr., 52, of Frederick, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The woman was flown from the scene to York Hospital, where she died of her injuries.

Lenhart was not injured.

State police were assisted on the scene by the Rescue Hose Co.
