At their 50-year reunion in May, members of the Greencastle-Antrim High School Class of 1967 decided to donate $500 to the renovation of the farmhouse at Tayamentasachta Environmental Center.

The donation was given in memory of the 25 classmates who have died. Since 1975, the Class of ’67 has had a history of donations to the environmental center in the form of evergreen trees, which were also given in memory of classmates.

The capital campaign for the renovation of the farmhouse has raised almost $190,000 of its $250,000 goal.

Anyone can make a donation by visiting the Greencastle-Antrim Education Foundation online at  Under “Programs” choose “Tayamentasachta.”  Checks, payable to GAEF with “Tayamentasachta” written on the memo line, may be mailed to Greencastle-Antrim Education Foundation, 217 E.
