Wabtec Corp.’s Trip Optimizer, a smart cruise control system for trains launched in 2009, has now logged more than 500 million miles.
Installed on more than 11,000 locomotives worldwide, Trip Optimizer has saved 400 million gallons of fuel to date, according to Wabtec.
