George Clarence Murray Aliquippa George Clarence Murray, 93, of Aliquippa, transitioned to be with our Lord and Savior unexpectedly on Friday, January 10, 2020, at his home. Born February 12, 1926, in Fosters, Alabama to Samuel and Bessie Murray, he was one of fourteen children born from this union. He was a graduate of Fairfield High School and a graduate of Booker T. Washington College where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He served in the U.S. Navy and he retired in 1987, with 33 years of service as Pay Master with J&L Steel. He lived a very quiet life and had a love for his cowboy westerns. He also was a faithful member of the Church In the Round. George Murray is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy L. Murray and son, Ray Bernard Murray. He leaves behind to cherish in his memory, his brother, Robert Murray; sister-in-law, Viola Murray; children, Vincent Murray, (Joyce) of Cleveland, Ohio; Reginald Murray (Gloria) of Aliquippa; Kimberly Murray, Largo, Md., Venita Murray; Clinton, Md., Sarita Murray, Upper Marlboro, Md.; a grandson, Vincent Murray Jr. Aliquippa, granddaughter, Sierra Murray, (Alton); and great granddaughter, Peyton Richardson, all of Upper Marlboro, Md.; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; devoted friends, Kenneth Thorn, Shawn Jeter; a host of relatives; nieces; nephews and friends.
