Barbara Ann (Gongaware) Hufnagel Ellwood City Barbara Ann (Gongaware) Hufnagel, 80, went to be with the Father on the evening of September 11, 2019. She was able to spend her last days surrounded by family at her home. Born on January 5,1939, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Bellian) Gongaware. She had two sisters, Sylvia (Donald) Miller deceased and Lydia (Charles) Lewis of Waynesburg Ohio. She was formerly married to William Hufnagel, Sr. who is deceased. Barb had five children, Debbie Leddon (Rodger), Bev Galbreath (Paul Gazzo), William Hufnagel Jr. (Kitti Lucchesi), Sylvia Murray (Jim) and Pam Graham (Brad) and six grandchildren Rick Lunn (Erin), Jason (Britney) Hufnagel, Jacob McCrumb, Capt. Jocelyn McCrumb, Keith Leddon and Faith Murray. She was blessed with three great grandchildren, Alexis Hufnagel, Kenna Hufnagel and Jayden McCrumb. She lovingly welcomed three additional grandchildren into her family, Justin (Aimee), Matt and Danielle Leddon. In addition to her immediate family she had many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that she truly enjoyed spending time with. In her early years she spent much time on the family farm in Fombell and had a special bond with her aunt, Doris Bellian. She also enjoyed camping with her cousins and family on the Gongaware side. In addition to caring for her family, she provided care for several elderly individuals, advocating for their personal needs. Barb was known for her food that she cooked and catered. She loved trying new recipes, which always turned out well. She collected antiques; had a flare for decorating, enjoyed flea markets and yard sales and had an eye for a good buy. In later years she enjoyed traveling; particularly family vacations at the beach. Everyone who knew her, will miss her. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September, 14, 2019, from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m. with Thom Brown officiating at the SAMUEL TEOLIS FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 309 Spring Ave., Ellwood City. Interment will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
