Shirley J. (Myers) Walck, 65, a resident of The Village of Laurel Run, Fayetteville and formerly of Grant Street, Greencastle, died at 6:55 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010 in the nursing home. She had been declining in health for the past nine months.
Born May 12, 1945 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Harvey H. and Vera (Heckman) Myers.
She and her husband, Glen A. Walck, where married Nov. 10, 1962 at the Macedonia United Brethren Church near Greencastle. He died Oct. 11, 1999.
Mrs. Walck was a member of the Berean Bible Fellowship Church in State Line, Pa. She enjoyed helping at Camp Tohiglo in Mercersburg.
She is survived by two daughters, Elissa M. Parsons of Greencastle and Angelina M. Tressler of Jonestown; two sons, Allen G. Walck and Kevin M. Walck, both of Greencastle; three granddaughters; and two grandsons.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold H. Myers.
Services were held the morning of Tuesday, June 22 in the Berean Bible Fellowship Church, 15811 South Young Road, State Line, with Pastor W. Bruce Dick Jr. officiating.
Burial was in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
Arrangements were handled by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, Greencastle.
