Charles W. Kauffman, 57, of Mercersburg, died at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born May 10, 1953 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Charles J. Kauffman and Nellie Grace (Carbaugh) Kauffman of Marion.
He and his wife, Mary V. (Myers) Kauffman were married Oct. 31, 1973 in Hagerstown, Md.
Mr. Kauffman was currently employed at Miller Auto Parts in Greencastle.
He was a member of the Clarence Armstrong VFW Post 6241 and the Harry Lackhove American Legion Post 517, both of Mercersburg.
Mr. Kauffman enjoyed his grandchildren, working on old time race cars and was a NASCAR fan.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by daughters, Cathy M. (husband Chip) Feldman of Upton and Mary Ann (husband Travis) Reed of Greencastle; grandchildren, Colton, Coralei, Conner and Emma; sisters, Janet Weyant and Ann Keown; and brother, Roger Kauffman.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 28 in the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, Greencastle.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
