House gutted by fire

A house in the 13500 block of Worleytown Road was gutted Nov. 23 in a late night fire. A passerby called in the fire at 11:19 p.m. The main level of the two-story home was engulfed when the Rescue Hose Company arrived.
No one was home at the time, and the name of the property owner has not been released.
Fire departments from Greencastle, Hagerstown and Marion were on the scene until 3 a.m. EMS crews from Franklin and Washington counties were present.
The state fire marshall in investigating the fire.
