Members of the Greencastle-Antrim High School Class of 2018 will receive their diplomas Saturday morning, June 2, on Kaley Field.

Graduation activities get underway with baccalaureate at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 31, in the high school auditorium. Josh Lance, youth pastor at Otterbein United Brethren Church, will officiate.

The commencement ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday and the speaker is Melissa Bard, a 1987 G-AHS graduate.

Bard is vice chancellor of human resources for the California State University system, the largest university system in the country. As vice president, she provides strategic leadership for CSU's human resources department, which supports 23 campuses, 52,000 employees and 500,000 students. Prior to joining CSU, Bard held leadership positions at East Carolina University, Penn State, the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and Citibank.

She earned bachelor of science and master of science degrees in human resources management, both from the University of Maryland University College.

Bard lives in Long Beach, California, and returns to Greencastle often to visit family and friends.

If it rains, the ceremony will be moved to the high school auditorium.
