A record crowd, estimated at 1,200 people, attended the fourth annual Craft Beer and Wine Festival sponsored by the Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce Saturday on the parking lot of Antrim Way Honda.

“All in all, a great day for Greencastle!” said Georgina Cranston, executive director of the chamber. “The perfect weather and other events in town probably contributed to the crowds,” she said. “Also, having the crane on site from Manitowoc with the huge American flag was a big draw.

“The comments we heard from attendees were very positive,” she continued. “We had a really nice selection of seasonal craft beers and six different wineries with many varieties which helped satisfy all different tastebuds.”

"It's one of the nicest things in this area, it brings the people from the community out to enjoy the local microbreweries in the area," said Bill Murdaugh of Mercersburg, who has been attending the festival from the beginning.

“I want to thank M&T Bank, our main sponsor, for helping to make this event so successful.  They brought a large staff to help with registration and ticket sales, so that went very smoothly,” Cranston said. “F&M Bank sponsored the popular band Still Clear and Quad State Air Compressors were responsible for the cool 5-ounce glasses everyone got upon entering.
