Information sought on bomb threats

Crime Solvers of Franklin County is seeking information pertaining to recent bomb threats in Mercersburg.

On Thursday, Sept. 25 a bomb threat was discovered on the girls bathroom wall at James Buchanan High School. On Friday, Sept. 26 another bomb threat was discovered on a boys bathroom stall at the high school.

The investigations resulted in a financial cost to the community as well as a delay in the school year. Time lost from school due to evacuations may have to be made up at the end of the school year.

Anyone with information on these crimes should contact Security Officer Joe Cox, Principal Rodney Benedick, or Franklin County Crime Solvers at 717- 263-3000. All calls are confidential and may lead to a reward of up to $2,000. The phone line is open 24 hours a day.
