The lone firsthalf score came when the Stallion punter could not handle the snap and was tackled in the Eagle end zone for a safety. Waynesboro had a drive going late in the second half, but Holden Baker intercepted a Stallion pass to close out the half with the Eagles leading, 2-0. The first touchdown of the game came midway through the third quarter by the Stallions. Patrick Bontrager burst through the line to block the PAT. The Eagles responded with a drive of their own. Determined runs by Josh Young and Kareem Aiken moved the Eagles within striking distance. The first play of the fourth quarter saw QB Baker drive up the middle for the Eagle's go-ahead TD. With plenty of time remaining for the Stallions' offense, the Eagle defense refused to back down. Bontrager came up with a Stallion fumble to thwart the comeback attempt. The stingy Eagle defense was led by Bontrager's six tackles and Josh Young's 5.5 stops. Matt Nardi had five tackles while Baker chipped in three. Cam Chilcote had 1.5 tackles while Kareem Aiken, Nathan Monn and Brady Keller had one apiece. Keller also recovered a fumble. Young led the offense with 62 tough rushing yards.
