Kathleen "Kitty" M. Hartman
Kathleen "Kitty" M. Hartman, 88, a resident of the Penn Hall Nursing Center since July 2008 and formerly of Greencastle, died at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008 in the nursing center.
Born Aug. 25, 1920 in Quincy, she was the daughter of the late Albert S. and Della (Myers) Snyder.
She retired in 1982 from the former Stanley Co. of Chambersburg.
She and her husband, William R. Hartman, were married on June 7, 1941. He died Sept. 30, 1994.
Mrs. Hartman was a member of The Brethren Fellowship Church of Chambersburg.
She was a graduate of the former Quincy High School.
Mrs. Hartman enjoyed traveling and being with her family.
She is survived by a son, William (husband of Rozenna) Hartman Jr. of Hanover; a daughter, Susan (wife of Roy Jr.) Daugherty of Chambersburg; three sisters, Margaret Alleman of Florida, Mildred Geesaman of Colorado and Lois George of Shady Grove; two brothers, Earl Snyder of Chambersburg and Robert Snyder of Shady Grove; three grandchildren, Michele Hostetter, Tricia Murray and Daniel Hartman; and four great-grandchildren
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Pauline Schnabel; one brother, Harold Snyder; and one great-granddaughter, Chanel Beard.
Services were held the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 30 in the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Manny Diaz officiating.
Burial followed in the Brown's Mill Cemetery, Kauffman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the building fund of The Brethren Fellowship Church, 339 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.
