Harvest Farm Festival at Stoners Oct. 4 MERCERSBURG — The 5th Annual Harvest Farm Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 at Stoner's Dairy Farm, 7678 Oellig Road. In addition to a 5-acre piratethemed corn maze, the Harvest Farm Festival will offer pig racing shows, hay rides, pony rides, alpacas, chainsaw sculpting, Phantom Shadow inflatable attractions, a petting zoo, children's magic show, pumpkin patch, scarecrow factory, arena contests, self-guided farm tours, games and delicious food. Admission to the festival is $5 per person for ages 3 years and older. Parking is free. Proceeds will benefit various local organizations, including the James Buchanan Middle School and the Mobile Ag Ed Science Lab. The rain date will be Saturday, Oct. 11. The event is sponsored by many area businesses, including: the Franklin County Visitors Bureau, Phantom Shadow Entertainment, Talhelm's Gas, Mercersburg Academy, First National Bank of Mercersburg, Franklin Feed & Supply, Greencastle Livestock Market, Smith's Implements, Willard Agri-Service, Antietam Tractor and Agri-Service of Shippensburg. Established in 1942, Stoner's Dairy Farm currently milks over 550 dairy cows and farms approximately 1,700 acres. The farm is located 1.5 miles off Route 16 between Upton and Mercersburg.
