Public accounting practice transfered

WAYNESBORO — Linden Showalter, CPA, Ray Miller, CPA, and Michael Snyder, CPA have announced the transfer of the public accounting practice of Michael S. Snyder, CPA to Showalter & Miller, CPA's effective Sept. 1. Snyder has owned and operated his accounting practice in Waynesboro for 27 years. He will be pursuing other business interests outside of public accounting.

"It was clear to me that Showalter and Miller was the right firm to assume the business. They have a similar operating philosophy and I'm convinced they will do a top notch job in serving my clients," said Snyder.

Showalter & Miller, CPA's located at 42 E. Main St., Waynesboro, specialize in services to corporations, partnerships and LLC's, personal income taxes, retirement and estate planning, non-profit audits and federal/state filings, and small business payroll and accounting services.

Miller remarked of the addition, "We are excited about getting to know Mike's clients. The services we provide are similar to Mike's. We are glad his long-time associate, Brenda Heefner, is joining our firm and believe that will help provide a smooth transition."

Showalter added, "I've known Mike for many years and have a high regard for him. We have explored many aspects of our businesses and have found them to be an excellent match. We are looking forward to continuing our tradition of high standards for our new clients."
