Chicken BBQ

A chicken barbecue and bake sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 28 in the parking lot of the Greencastle Livestock Market, 720 Buchanan Trail East.

The sale is sponsored by the Woman's Fellowship Committee of the Greencastle Otterbein Church.

The price is $4.50 per half chicken and is prepared by "BBQ by Ralph."

Giant Flea Market, Yard Sale

Grace United Church of Christ will hold its annual Giant Flea Market and Yard Sale Friday and Saturday, July 11 and 12 in the social hall and on the parking lot at 128 E. Baltimore St. The event coincides with the annual Greencastle Sidewalk Days.

In addition to yard sale and flea market, there will be a baked goods and soup sale.

Free bottled ice water will be courtesy of Keystone Ford of Greencastle and Chambersburg.

Tables and parking lot spaces are available by calling the church office at 597-2983. Spaces are limited. The cost is $20 per 8 foot table inside the social hall and $25 for two parking spaces of two tables in the parking lot and includes both days of activities and 24-hour security so there will be no need for dismantling Friday evening.

Proceeds will benefit the Grace UCC "Fund Raising Committee" kitchen improvement and "Support Our Troops" projects.

Yard sales

Boy Scout Troop 287 will hold yard sales from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday, July 10 and 11 and from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 12 at Greencastle Otterbein United Brethren Church, 146 Leitersburg St.

Mulch sale

The Greencastle-Antrim Soccer Boosters is conducting a mulch sale.

The cost is $4.50 per bag. Delivery is free with the purchase of 10 or more bags.

Ride for the Red

CHAMBERSBURG - The Franklin County Chapter of the American Red Cross is holding its second annual Ride for the Red motorcycle ride fund-raiser and blood drive July 19.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at M&S Harley-Davidson, 160 Falling Springs Road.

There will be a prizes and raffles.

All proceeds will support the disaster services program of the local chapter in support of families in their time of need.

Motorcycle parade

CHAMBERSBURG - "Christmas in July," Santa's Motorcycle Parade will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 27 at the M&S Harley Davidson facility. All proceeds will benefit Royal Family Kids' Camps, a camp for abused and neglected children.
