Sidewalk Days registration deadline nears

The Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce has been preparing for the 41st Annual Sidewalk Days and on Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12 Greencastle's downtown merchants will be joined by area businesses as well as outside craft and food vendors in sales spaces on the square and along Baltimore and Carlisle streets. The event will run from 8:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. the first day and 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. the second day.

There is still room for additional vendors, with the deadline to register being June 27. According to Bill Gour, the Chamber's Executive Director, accomodations will be made for vendors who try to register after that date, as long as there is room for them, but he would prefer if people register as close to the 27th as possible.

"I am going to begin the process of assigning the spaces on the 30th. It takes some time to do so, with there being many factors to consider and our goal is to get a map to each vendor at least one week before the event. Also, we have to send the vendors' tax identification numbers to Harrisburg for verification, which becomes problematic when people try to register at the last minute," Gour said.
