College News Huntington University HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Huntington University students will present the annual One-Act Play Festival at 7:30 p.m. on May 1 and 3 in the Studio Theatre of the Merillat Center for the Arts. Led by Huntington student directors, seven works will showcase the talents of the university's actors and designers. The public is invited to attend, and general admission is $2. One of the performances will include Greencastle resident Amos Rawley. Rawley has been cast in the production of "A New York Minute," portraying Harry. Rawley is a sophomore Bible and religion major. Kaplan College HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Nearly 130 area residents graduated from Kaplan College's Hagerstown campus recently during ceremonies at North Hagerstown High School. Greencastle residents included in the Kaplan College Hagerstown campus April 2008 graduates list are: Keisha Davis, Associate of Arts, Business Administration; Amanda Leatherman, Associate of Applied Science, Legal Assistant; William Sperry, Associate of Applied Science, Network Systems Technology. Huntington University HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Huntington University recently announced the winners of the 18th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibit in the Robert E. Wilson Gallery of the Merillat Centre for the Arts. Justin Wentz, a sophomore graphic design major from Greencastle, was given recognition for Outstanding Achievement for his illustration "Aaron and the Golden Calf." The pieces for the exhibit were created by Huntington University students, freshmen through seniors, who are enrolled in one or more art courses. This was the first exhibition for the work. All types of media were represented. An artist reception and awards ceremony was held April 12 in the Wilson Gallery. |
