Editorial Kudos to Greencastle-Antrim School Board members for opening public discussions on the tentative budget that proposes to raise property taxes by 4.7 mills. At its May 1 meeting members voiced concern over the state of the economy and what effect a tax hike at this time would have here. They talked about some options they may have. We hope the discussions continue at the May 15 meeting and encourage citizens to let their voices be heard. * * * * * We wonder why the Greencastle Borough Council would once again delay action on the Williamson Avenue sidewalk issue. Many studies have been done. The issues should be known. It's a matter of the council deciding whether or not to follow the ordinance. It will soon be time to consider another street. It's time to deal with this one. |
