Mercersburg House and Garden Tour set May 10

MERCERSBURG - The Women's Club of Mercersburg is sponsoring a Spring House Tour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 10.

The tour headquarters will be the Fendrick Library, 20 N. Main St.

Tickets are $10 per person and may be purchased at the library or at any of the tour homes. Low-heeled shoes are recommended.

This year's tour will include seven homes, the James Buchanan Pub-Hotel and the library. The homes on the tour range from stone, brick, board and batten and were built during the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Some of the homes have lovely gardens. Other points of interest include, the fountain from the center square on south Fayette Street. Five of the homes are within walking distance from the library and two homes are a few miles from town.
