Camp openings

Camp Joy El has available openings for campers in its summer camp programs. This year's summer camp theme is "Under Construction: Building Faith." Campers will learn about the "tools" they need to build a relationship with Jesus Christ and how to use those "tools."

Week-long overnight camps are available for all school-age groups: elementary grades 2 to 5 (select from three weeks), middle school/junior high grades 6 to 9 (select from two weeks), and senior high grades 9 to 12 (one week is offered). Elementary mini-camp consists of three overnights and students in grades 1 through 5 are eligible for mini-camp.

For elementary children who are not quite ready for an overnight stay away from home, Camp Joy El provides day camp. Elementary students in grades K to 5 can sign up for day camp. Day camp contains many of the same elements of overnight camp. Day campers go home every evening and return again in the morning. Four weeks of day camp are offered. Transportation for day camps are available from Greencastle, Chambersburg, Waynesboro and Hagerstown.

For information on pricing, schedules, transportation for day camp, or to register, visit the camp's website at www.joyel.org or contact the camp office at 717-369-4539.
