A little girl was asked to memorize a Bible verse for a play, and her mother faithfully coached her with the verse. "I am the light of the world."

When she came to the platform, she became frightened, and she blurted out. "My mother is the light of the world."

How wonderful when a child thinks of her mother as a "light." For our Lord said, "You are the light of the world."

A light is something that's meant to be seen. And your Christianity is meant to be seen.

A light is meant to show the way, and a Christian must be an example. Parents who want their children to end up right must walk upright themselves.

You're the world's light, therefore, shine!
