Good old days gone by What was it like to live long ago? The kids today don't know how it was. We lived in a house by the railroad track. When the train went by, it shook the house. We had to pick up coal that fell off the cars for fuel in the stove. We carried water from a pump next door. We helped mother raise a big garden so we had food to eat. We didn't have a grocery store. The people have it made today. We had to wear clothes handed down from older brothers. We had chores to do. We had no TV or radio. We had no electricity. We used kerosene lights. We walked to school and carried our lunch. They say we are in a recession. What if things get so bad we would have to go back to the good old days. Could our generation survive? It's up to the parents to answer this question. They way things are going we could go back to no jobs and soup lines. This might wake up America and return to God for help. It's the parents' job to teach the children to have respect for their elders and to get jobs to help. Love your neighbor as yourself and love God. There wouldn't be so much killing, shooting and trouble.
"If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land." II Chronicles 7:14. My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Open your hearts and let Him in. |
