Editorial The Greencastle-Antrim community has always been in tune when it comes to musical excellence. One of our most special community happenings - Old Home Week - was the idea of Greencastle's own Philip E. Baer, a noted concert singer, in the early 1900s. Many have followed in Baer's footsteps, both in the vocal music realm and instrumentally. Today's young people are continuing to distinguishing themselves in this artistic field. Two high school students are representing the community on the highest plateau of scholastic vocal music. Dianna Stottlemyer and Sallianne Crawford are on their way to the all-state choral festival. The G-AHS Percussion Ensemble kept the beat going last weekend with another championship. We congratulate all those who have kept our community humming and tapping their feet. We enjoy and appreciate it. It says a lot about who we are and we thank you for keeping us on the right note. |
