GREENCASTLE - Oshkosh Corporation has announced that it has appointed Michael "Mike" P. Walter as president for its subsidiary in its Fire & Emergency Group, JerrDan Corporation. Walter will be responsible for leading the JerrDan business unit, driving business strategy, as well as performance and growth for the industry leading brand of wreckers and carriers.

"We are pleased to bring Mike in with his extensive operations, manufacturing and business development experience," said Thomas D. Fenner, Oshkosh Corporation Fire & Emergency group president. "We believe Mike will be able to make significant contributions to further enhance JerrDan's industry-leading reputation by accelerating innovation, improving responsiveness to customer needs and creating a lean production focus."

Walter succeeds Jeff Weller at JerrDan. "After more than 38 years with JerrDan, Jeff Weller is retiring as president. He led the business through a tremendous growth period, and we appreciate his many years of service," added Fenner.

ETHEL HOOPER
Walter was most recently executive vice president and chief operating officer of General Products Corporation based in Columbus, Ohio, and prior to that he was with Hendrickson International in Woodridge, Ill. Previously he held various positions with Johnson Controls Inc. Walter holds a bachelor's degree in both mechanical engineering and industrial management from Gannon University in Erie.

Mountain View Reclamation

UPTON - Mountain View Reclamation employee Paula Benchoff recently celebrated 25 years of service with Waste Management. Benchoff has held numerous positions for both Waste Management of Greencastle and Mountain View Reclamation over the years. In her present position as a Scalehouse Attendant, she is responsible for monitoring inbound and outbound truck activity, acquire and monitor data, communicate with various departments and all customers, keep accurate records of all tickets and manifests and many special projects as assigned.

Comfort Keepers in Fayetteville has been named the Top Office of the Northeast for 2007 out of 72 offices in the region. Terry and Bob Guberman, local owners, achieved this award for the past six years. They were chosen Franchisee of the Year for 2007. The award included a trip to a Fort Lauderdale, Fla. resort. Comfort Keepers in Fayetteville has been in operation for eight years and has 128 employees.
