Waste Management scholarships due soon

UPTON - Mountain View Reclamation and Waste Management of Pennsylvania, in cooperation with the Citizens Advisory Committee of Antrim and Montgomery Townships, invites high school seniors who are residents of the Greencastle-Antrim School District or Montgomery Township to apply for a one-time scholarship award. A maximum of $5,000 for students from each area has been reserved for this scholarship.

A$5,000 award will be distributed to high school seniors from Greencastle-Antrim School District and a $5,000 award will be distributed to high school seniors from Montgomery Township. The number of awards, and the amount of the individual scholarship award, will be decided by a Selection Committee.

All high school seniors who are residents of the Greencastle- Antrim School District or residents of Montgomery Township, regardless of the school that they currently attend, are eligible for consideration.

This rather unique scholarship may be used by the recipient to fund any type of post-secondary study including one post-secondary course (this includes technical and vocational programs), a twoyear program, or a traditional fouryear program.

Deadline for submission of all materials is April 4. All materials, including personal recommendations, must be post-marked no later than April 4.

Applications for this scholarship may be obtained at local high schools, or from Cheryl Shields, who may be contacted by calling 593-9948. The announcement of the successful applicants will be made at the end-of-the school year awards assemblies.
