SU hosts anti-violence march

Shippensburg University will host its 14th Annual Take Back the Night March beginning at 7 p.m. April 3 in the Ceddia Union Building multipurpose room to raise community awareness and break the silence about violence and oppression, particularly sexual and/or relationship violence.

The annual march and rally serves as a community's voice to renounce this form of violence.

By participating, community members can symbolically reclaim what is taken by relationship and/or sexual violence. Individuals will have opportunities to share poems, stories, songs and prayers as well as banners and other ways of denouncing violence and promoting respect and social justice.
