Auxiliary offering health field scholarships

CHAMBERSBURG - The Chambersburg Area Hospital Auxiliary is offering five scholarships: one $1,750 and two $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing a career in the health field. The second $1000 scholarship is funded by the ongoing One Million Penny Drive.

One $1750 scholarship will be awarded to an adult. A $1000 scholarship, also funded by the Penny Drive, will be awarded to a qualifying adult.

Participation in school and community activities, financial need and grades are a few of the areas considered by the scholarship committee. All recipients must plan to pursue a health-related career.

Applications must be postmarked before April 1. Selection will be complete by May 1 and the winners will be notified shortly thereafter. Awards will be presented at the Auxiliary's spring luncheon.

The Hospital Auxiliary has been awarding scholarships to high school seniors since 1977 and to adults since 1992.
