Election Series The Franklin County Election Board offers this as the seventh in a series on the April 22 Presidential Primary on a variety of subjects that will be educational to Pennsylvania voters. The board is anticipating a larger than normal turnout for this primary election and wishes to supply information to the voters to assist them in the voting process. For additional election and voter registration information, visit the county's website at www.co.franklin.pa.us Any questions concerning the upcoming election should be directed to the Voter Registration Office at 717-261- 3886 or the Franklin County Election Board at 717-261- 3810. * * * * * As a result of the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), if you are voting in an election district for the first time you will be asked to present an approved form of identification before you sign the poll book.
Approved forms of identification include: Once you have provided approved identification you will be asked to sign your name in the pollbook and be allowed to vote if the signature is found to be authentic. If you are unable or unwilling to provide one of the above approved forms of ID then you may vote by a provisional ballot. For information on voting in Franklin County you may watch a demo and/or instructional video on voting an optical scan ballot using a M100 Precinct Counter at the following website http://www. votingbooth.state.pa.us/machine. aspx If you have any questions concerning the status of your voter registration you can now check your voter information online through a new statewide initiative called a SURE Public Portal Upon logging on to www.pa.voterservices. state.pa.us, you can view your own voter information which includes your name address date of birth date of registration status political party voter history and polling place.
