Gardening with less water course offered

CHAMBERSBURG - The Franklin County Master Gardeners will present a "Xeriscaping" workshop teaching how to garden with less water from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5 at the Franklin County Extension Office, 181 Franklin Farm Lane.

Registration is required and seating is limited. Call the Extension Office at 717- 263-9226 to pre-register.

"What is Xeriscaping" will teach the participants the fundamentals of gardening with less water, using drought-tolerant plants, as well as reducing grass area and using proper watering techniques. Master Gardeners will teach the eight common sense gardening principles to decrease water use and create a colorful, lush landscape.
