Scott, Gembe to play in Roundball Classic

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Two Greencastle-Antrim boys' basketball team members will be part of the 2008 McDonald's Roundball Classic, a senior all-star tri-state basketball extravaganza Friday, March 21 at Hagerstown Community College's ARCC.

Dameatric Scott and Jordan Gembe will be part of the North All-Star Team in the Tr-State Elite game set to tipoff at 8:45 p.m. G-AHS head coach Garon Gembe will be at the helm of the squad with assistance from a familiar place, his own assistant, Jeremy Eby.

There will be two other all-star games during the evening, A Boy's Shining Star contest and a Girl's All- Star Game, along with a three-point shootout, a dunk contest and a hot shots contest. Over 90 players from 35 different schools in three states and nine counties will participate in this season's event which benefits children with life threatening congenital heart disease.

Jordan Gembe is scheduled to compete in the Three- Point Shootout that begins at 7:50 p.m.

Doors will open at 3 p.m. The girls' game is at 4 p.m. and the Boys' Shining Stars game at 5:38 p.m.
