Editorial The media in general often get a rap for only bringing "bad" news to the public. It's not true, of course. News is news and those stories must be told. We are able to find lots of "good" news to share about the Greencastle-Antrim community as well. There is lots to choose from. From the sports pages to community events to school activities, we've found plenty on the bright side to share. Most of our pages are filled with what can only be considered on the "positive" side. In the past month alone we've seen numerous fund raising events by community groups. It's people helping people and that is news worth printing to us. The Blue Devil boys' basketball team once again gave us lots to cheer about this season. The disappointment of how things ended will fade and the good memories will last. We tried to capture those special moments that will stay with all of us who were on the ride with the team. Anyone who did not make it to a performance of "The Sound of Music" by the G-AHS Drama Club missed a fantastic exhibition of the talents and cooperative spirit of the young people of our community. We can be proud. Yes, there will be "bad" news in the paper, but much more "good." |
