Tractor club continues safety education programs

The Franklin County 4-H Tractor Club met Monday, March 3, at B-Equipment. Upon arrival, the members socialized briefly, followed by a movie entitled, "Tractor Safety: Begins with you."
After the club recited their pledges (4-H Pledge and the Pledge of Allegiance), they broke off into their separate groups. It was during this time that the First Year Group learned about "Clean Air For Your Engine," which was presented by Dale Martin. Roger and Kevin Dice taught the Second Year Group "Winter Care and Trouble for Your Tractor." Finally, the Third Year Group learned about "Seed Separation," which was taught by Kevin Grove and Michael Slothour.
The refreshments that evening were sponsored by BEquipment. The next meeting for the Club will be held at Forrester's Farm Equipment Limited, which is located on 1475 Orchard Road, Chambersburg.
The club also met recently at Byers Tire Service. After the members congregated, a movie was shown. The movie was entitled "Agriculture Equipment and Operator Safety."

Roger and Kevin Dice Taught the Second Year Group "Power Transmissions." Finally the Third Year Group learned about "Cutters For Crops," taught by Kevin Grove and Michael Slothour. After the sessions, the club enjoyed snacks sponsored by Byers Tire.
