Court Reports The following cases were recently docketed before Magisterial District Judge Duane Cunningham: Byron Daniel Kling, 19, Shade Gap, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 20. While Pennsylvania State Police were conducting a drug investigation at Rodeway Inn, Kling knocked on the door. He stated he was staying in Room 201 of Woody's Motel, 671 E. Baltimore St. The officer received consent to search Kling's room and found a foil smoking bowl with marijuana residue. Pennsylvania State Police responded to an accident scene on Mason-Dixon Road Feb. 19. They found a vehicle in a yard after having struck a pole and tree. Denise Cotton said she was driving and lost control. The officer reported he smelled the odor of alcohol in the vehicle. Cotton then said her son Joshua, 21, was driving and she indicated where he was a short distance away. Joshua Cotton, 10845 Burkett Road, was transported to Chambersburg Hospital at 3:45 a.m. where he refused testing. He was charged with driving under the influence and traffic offenses. Kody James Turner, 19, 12129 Cool Hollow Road, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence and traffic offenses following a one-vehicle crash at 6:34 a.m. Feb. 10. Pennsylvania State Police investigated the accident at 485 Mason Dixon Road, where a Ford Mustang was off the roadway in a culvert. An officer interviewed Turner at Waynesboro Hospital, where he had been transported by EMS. Turner's blood alcohol content was .065 percent. |
