Police Reports

Greencastle Borough Police recently released the following incident reports (Information on any of the cases should be called to police at 597-9506.):

Juvenile charges were filed against a Greencastle-Antrim Middle School student for disorderly conduct and harassment for an incident at 12:15 p.m. March 3 at the school. Greencastle Police said school administration reported that the juvenile was being disciplined for chewing gum and became disorderly and threatened to hit two teachers. Police said the juvenile was suspended from school.

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident at 7:28 a.m. March 7 at the intersection of South Washington and Leitersburg streets. Police reported Chelsea Zurita, 18, of Greencastle, was driving south on South Washington Street and attempted to turn east onto Leitersburg Street when she collided with a northbound vehicle driven by Robert Fulcher, 32, of Greencastle, on South Washington Street.

Copper wire was stolen from a construction site in Greencastle during the night of Feb. 27. Anyone with information should contact police.

Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg recently issued the following news releases (Information on any of the cases should be called to police at 264-5161.):

Five cars were involved in a chain reaction accident at 11:38 a.m. March 1 on Route 16 in Antrim Township. Police did not report the exact location of the crash, but drivers from Central City, Charlottesville, Va., Waynesboro, Martinsburg, W. Va. and Zullinger and 14 people, including the drivers, were involved. The Central City driver struck a second vehicle from behind and the chain reaction continued with three other vehicles. Police said the driver of the first vehicle will be cited for summary violations.

Police said a 1996 Ford Aspire driven west on Kauffman Road by Linda G. Kennedy, 59, of Greencastle, went out of control after traveling on an ice-covered road and struck a large rock on the north side of the road. Police did not say if Kennedy was injured in the 6:05 a.m. accident.

Pennsylvania State Police are seeking a man who stole a credit card from the locker room of the Sports Inn Gym and used it to purchase a number of items.

Police said that at 3 p.m. March 7 the man walked into the locker room at the gym at 50 Pine Dr. and stole a credit card belonging to a 17-year-old male from Greencastle. The man went directly to LA Cameras on Wayne Avenue in Chambersburg and purchased a Canon CD50 video camera valued at $715.45 with the card at 4:30 p.m. At 5:08 p.m. the man purchased another camera, a JVC Camcorder, valued at $498.14 at Target off Walker Road in Chambersburg.

According to police the man is 40 to 55 years old and possibly a truck driver. He is 5-10 and weighs 200 to 240 pounds, and is right-handed. He was wearing a black Dale Earndhardt jacket with a large number three on the right chest and red letters stating "the Intimidator" on the back and blue jeans. During the theft, the suspect had black hair with some gray and a "flat-top" style and had no facial hair, however had some distortions in his face similar to pox marks. He wore a silver necklace during the theft. He was driving a 2003 to 2007 model gold or tan Cadillac sedan.

Any information should be called to police at 264-5161.

Cash amounting to $185 was taken from the purse of Cynthia R. Gee, 49, of Shippensburg, which was in a maroon Ford Escort at 12876 Molly Pitcher Highway South between 5:05 and 8:45 p.m. March 4.

Bryan Michael Oleary, 19, of Chambersburg, was cited by police for harassment and underage consumption following a domestic dispute at 8:55 p.m. Feb. 29 at 868 Twin Dr. in Antrim Township.

Police reported criminal mischief March 5 in Antrim Township. They said Erick Ortiz- Colon, no age given, of Greencastle allegedly drove through the yard at the residence of Gary Mayhugh at 1418 Leitersburg Pike three times and did damage. Police allege Ortiz-Colon spun his tires three different times throughout the day. He was placed in Franklin County Jail following contact with adult probation.

Lumber valued at $238 was stolen from a construction site of Columbia Builders Inc. of Columbia, Md. at 12903 Bay Break Lane, Lot 152, in Antrim Meadows, Antrim Township. Police said the theft occurred between 5 p.m. Feb. 27 and 9 a.m. Feb. 28.

Four fold-up lawn chairs and one lounge lawn chair were taken from the 5969 Hager Road, Greencastle, residence of Corey Paul Raymo, 30. The theft happened between midnight and 8 a.m. on March 8.
