Camp expands summer grade level offerings

This summer for the first time, Camp Joy El will include programming for campers as young as kindergarten and first grade. In a decision to make summer camp available to all school-aged children, Camp Joy El has expanded the grade levels on both its day camps and overnight camps.

The expanded programming now offers summer camp for every child in the family. Based on the grades children have completed by summer 2008, Camp Joy El offers the following options:

Day camps are now available to grades K-5.

Mini-camp is open to grades 1- 5. (Mini-camp is a shortened overnight camp for elementary students.)

Overnight elementary camps are open to grades 2-5.

Overnight junior high camps accept students in grades 6 to 9.

Overnight senior high camp is available for students in grades 9 to 12.

For parents to take advantage of the best discount, they should register their child and pay in full before January 31st. Registrations for overnight camps that are received with full payment by this date will receive a $20 discount and a free camp theme shirt. Registrations for day camps with payment in full will receive a $10 discount and a free camp theme shirt.

Parents can register their children online via the camp's website at www.joyel.org . Parents without internet access can get a registration form by contacting Camp Joy El at 717-369-4539.
