Police Reports

Greencastle Borough Police recently released the following incident reports (Information on any of the cases should be called to police at 597-9506.):

Atheft from an unlocked vehicle occurred overnight at 26 E. Baltimore St. and was reported at 12:38 p.m. Feb. 7. The victim said a purse containing a birth certificate and portable GPS unit was taken.

Industrial Pallet Corp., 255 N. Carlisle St., was cited for a violation of the borough noise ordinance at 6:27 a.m. Feb. 5.

Two female juveniles were charged with disorderly conduct for an incident at Greencastle- Antrim High School at 1:39 p.m. Feb. 8. They allegedly engaged in a fight. Both were suspended from school for 10 days.

April Daley told police Kelly Daley pushed her at the Greencastle Antrim Primary School at 3:28 p.m. Feb. 7. A witness confirmed the statement. Police issued a harassment citiation.

Mark Thomas Lancaster, 20, no address given, was arrested for underage consumption at 3:49 a.m. Jan. 27. He was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over on Williamson Avenue at Sunburst Drive for an equipment violation.

A juvenile was arrested for driving under the influence and underage consumption at 2:34 a.m. Feb. 2, the result of a traffic stop at 215 W. Baltimore St.

Jonathan Edward Martz, 18, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at 4:54 a.m. Feb. 9 on West Franklin St. at South Jefferson Street.

Patty Keith, Chambersburg, was cited for trespassing at Greencastle Antrim High School at 1:59 p.m. Feb. 8. She was discovered sleeping in the custodian closet. According to the police report, she was let into the building by a relative who works there.

Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg recently issued the following news releases (Information on any of the cases should be called to police at 264- 5161.):

Donald Lee Helmuth, 75, Marion, was charged with indecent assault for allegedly touching a 12- year-old female inappropriately near Martin's Mill Bridge at 4 p.m. between Dec. 16 and 22.

Theft from a vehicle belonging to Roger Gordon Hurd, 4530 Statler Road, occurred between 2 and 8 a.m. Jan. 17.

Eric Christopher Davis, 20, no known address, was charged with giving false identification to law enforcement at 6:16 p.m. Feb. 7 at 227 S. Antrim Way. He allegedly gave a false name to avoid prosecution of drug related warrants out of California.

Amelia Guy, 18, Greencastle, was clocked at 93 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone on Interstate 81 in January. Seventeen drivers were arrested during the month for traveling in excess of 90 mph on the interstate. Jonathan Wor, 18, and Jake Bishop, 20, both of Chambersburg, and Ryan Newswanger, 18, Reinholds, were each cited for driving 111 mph.

Billy Kidd Pitcock, 3661 Williamson Road, was arrested for public drunkenness at 2:01 p.m. Jan. 30.

Someone used wasp and hornet spray as a propellant to set fire to dried grass and shrubs on Melrose Avenue Jan. 27. The victims were Curtis Myers, 46, and Beverly Fogtman, 55.

Three vehicles were involved in at accident on Interstate 81 at Mile Marker 9 at 7:42 a.m. Feb. 6. Steven Jones, 18, Chambersburg, was traveling south in a 1992 Acura Vigor when he lost control and entered the grassy median. He spun into the northbound lane and struck a 1999 Freightliner Century driven by Clarence L. Pearl, 61, Chaplin, Ct. Jones then struck a 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Jeremy R. Hott, 30, Williamsport, Md. Two trailers attached to the tractor overturned.
