Say 'Cheese'

Bobby Downin and Scott Ingream work on the installation of a swing set at Antrim Township Community Park. Road department personnel spent a week in January adding to the playground so it will be ready for use in nice weather. The piece was financed though recreation fees at the park on Grant Shook Road. On Jan. 25, residents of The Shook Home and The Quarters at The Shook, a Continuing Care Retirement Community, Chambersburg, including Richard Besecker of Greencastle (shown here), bowling a strike, had their first experience with the newest technological game, the Wii. Residents lined up to play bowling with the activities staff and were excited to bowl strikes. The game was purchased for the residents to enjoy, for physical movement, friendship, and to improve their self esteem. Residents are looking forward to trying baseball next. Besecker said, "I really like this game, I can't wait to try baseball." Stephanie Hykes, Franklin County Dairy Princess from Greencastle and Katy Mitchell, PA Fair Queen from Ft. Loudon, attended the Franklin County Cooperative Extension Association 90th Annual Banquet Jan. 25. Mitchell was crowned Jan. 19 in Hershey. Greencastle's finest.
