Tawny Dorae Fittry

Tawny Dorae Fittry, 47, of 5680 Mountain Road, Chambersburg, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 in her home following a 12- year battle with cancer.

Born May 3, 1960 in Waynesboro, she was a daughter of Jack and Doris Pensinger Wells of Greencastle.

Mrs. Fittry was a cosmetologist, having worked in Fort Ritchie, Md. and the Hair Styling Emporium in Zullinger.

She was the former owner and operator of Ebony and Ivory Beauty Shop in Greencastle, and she taught cosmetology at Head Hunters Academy in Chambersburg.

While she attended many churches over her lifetime, she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Greencastle.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of almost 18 years, Bruce Theodore Fittry, whom she married Feb. 14, 1990; two sons, Jeremy Naugle of Greencastle and Cody Shaun Fittry of Chambersburg; three step children, Bruce T. Fittry II of Chambersburg, Clorissa G. Fittry of Fayetteville and Dezirae Fittry of Newburg; one brother, Steve Wells of Colorado Springs, Col.; and nine grandchildren.

No services are planned.

Arrangements were handled by the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Crematorium, Chambersburg.
