Bible conference

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Hagerstown Bible Church, 203 Summit Ave., will host a Bible Conference at 7 p.m. Mon., Jan. 28. The conference is sponsored by the Fellowship of Bible Churches. The speaker will be their Executive Secretary, Rev. L. Samuel Martz, Thurmont, Md.

Men's retreat

MERCERSBURG - Dr. Renald Showers and Dr. Steve Herzig will be speaking at the Men's Retreat at Camp Tohiglo, 10670 Fort Loudon Road, Feb. 4 and 5. The theme of the retreat is "Israel's Place in Bible Prophecy," and it is sponsored by the Fellowship of Bible Churches.

MAUGANSVILLE, Md. - A Pfeifers Dinner Concert will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 2 at Maugansville Bible Brethren Church, 17904 Binkley Ave.

Bible study

STATE LINE, Pa. - The State Line United Methodist Church, 287 East Ave., is holding a six-week Bible study, "Healing of Creation" (based on the Sermon on the Mount), written by Pastor Dwaine Krebs, each Wednesday through Feb. 13 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

All are invited.

Bible study

Anew Bible study topic began Jan. 16 at Calvary Bible Church of Greencastle, 3845 Buchanan Trail West. The title of the study is "Foundations of Liberty." The study is from the book of Exodus and focuses on the implications of redemption and the freedom that comes with that.

The studies are held at 9 a.m. and at 7 p.m. Wednesdays. All are welcome to attend the studies.

'Lunch and Learn'

WAYNESBORO - St. Mary's Episcopal Church, corner of Broad and Second streets, is holding a "Lunch and Learn" series from noon to 1 p.m. each Friday that focuses on the rich history of Waynesboro area churches. Each week will feature one church, with plenty of time for questions and answers. Written transcripts of the presentations will be given to the Waynesboro Historical Society for their files.

Each session begins at noon and will last about an hour. Everyone is asked to bring a bag lunch. The series is expected to continue until mid-March.
