Mary E. Gayman

Mary E. Gayman, 83, of Greencastle, died at 4:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2008 in the Waynesboro Hospital.

Born Jan. 19, 1924 in Antrim Township, she was the daughter of the late Henry S. and Hattie

Crunkilton) Gayman.

She worked for the former J.J. Alleman Electric Co. of Greencastle and retired from the former Corning Glass Works also of Greencastle.

Miss Gayman was a member of the Greencastle Church Of The Brethren.

In her earlier years she served as a Girl Scout leader.

She was a 1942 graduate of Greencastle High School. She enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by a brother, Harold C. Gayman of Fayetteville; seven nephews; and five nieces.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles C. Gayman, and a sister Maud G. Myers.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18 in the Greencastle Church Of The Brethren, 36 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, with Rev. Leon R. Yoder officiating.

Burial will be in the Shanks Church Of The Brethren Cemetery near Greencastle.

There will be no public viewing, but the family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Greencastle Church Of The Brethren, 36 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, Pa. 17225.
