Police Reports Greencastle Borough Police recently released the following incident reports (Information on any of the cases should be called to police at 597-9506.): Anthony Alvarez and Kimberly Anne Mull were involved in an argument in the parking lot of Jim's Tavern, 200 W. Madison St., on Jan. 4. The argument became physical when Alvarez allegedly struck Mull in the face. No addresses or ages of the parties involved were released. A customer found several items at Sheetz, 215 W. Baltimore St., which are now at the Greencastle Police Department. A black Sony vehicle FM/AM/compact disc booklet/carrier with 23 compact discs was turned over to the police at 12:05 a.m. Jan. 7. Jose Raul Nuenez Santiago, 45, Frederick, Md., was arrested for public drunkenness at 12:45 a.m. Jan. 10 in the 500 block of Buchanan Trail West. A NASCAR jacket was found in the northbound lane of North Antrim Way near Sunnyway Foods at 12:25 p.m. Jan. 5. The owner may claim at the police department. Richard Duane Jones II was cited for disorderly conduct for an incident at Keystone Ford, 125 S. Antrim Way, on Jan. 6. James Neil Spoonhour, Chambersburg, and Bob Dewitt, Greenvalley, MO, were cited for disorderly conduct at Woody's Bar, 671 E. Baltimore St., during an incident at 10:18 p.m. Dec. 20. Thefts occurred from four unlocked vehicles the night of Jan. 11. They were parked on West Dahlgren Street, East Madison Street and Tyrone Street. Taken were a total of $17 in coin, a coin holder, a Linkin Pak backpack, a flash drive and two Microsoft books. Anyone with information should contact Greencastle Police at 597-9506. A Juvenile Complaint was filed Jan. 11 against a Greencastle Antrim High School male student for indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and false reports to law enforcement. Police responded to a call at 1:48 p.m. that the boy pulled down his pants in study hall and exposed himself to other students. Four juveniles witnessed the event. The youth was taken into custody and transported to the Greencastle Police Department where he was processed and released to his mother. Police served a warrant on Julie Denise Goetz, 32, 13A S. Washington St., for failure to appear in court. The warrant was issued by the Franklin County Sheriff's Department. Goetz was taken into custody without incident and transferred to the Sheriff's Office. Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg recently issued the following news releases (Information on any of the cases should be called to police at 264-5161.): Two tractor trailers were involved in an accident at 1:45 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14 that closed northbound Interstate 81 in the State Line area for hours. Police said a rig driven north by John Jeffrey Baysinger, 40, of Russellville, Tenn. struck the rear of another northbound tractor trailer, driven by Joe Edward Kiggens, 69, of Talbot, Tenn. Police said the collision caused Baysinger's rig to catch fire, however both operators escaped the crash without significant injury. Rescue Hose and other fire units responded to the scene and it took hours for cleanup of the highway. Atruck was stolen from Kiser Auto Repair, 12898 Molly Pitcher Highway, between midnight and 6 a.m. Jan. 11. The vehicle was described as a white 1988 Chevrolet Scottsdale 30 Series truck with a Chevron aluminum rollback body attached. Both doors were lettered with the Kiser business logo. A Next aluminum frame 21- speed girl's purple and pink bicycle was found in the yard at 11768 Melrose Ave. at 10:17 a.m. Jan. 8. Anyone with information should contact state police. Between 11 p.m. Jan. 6 and 5:45 a.m. the next day, someone damaged a Dish Network satellite dish at 15706 Pennsylvania Ave. It was reported by Tony Maietta. Harvey Williard Hockenberry, 25, Chambersburg, was charged with driving under the influence and driving on a driving under the influence suspended license after he was stopped in a 1993 Honda Accord at 2:31 a.m. Dec. 14. He was pulled over for multiple traffic violations near 8033 Molly Pitcher Highway. Troy Meredith, Greencastle, was charged with public intoxication at 13460 Ridge Road on Jan. 9. When an agent came to repossess two of his vehicles at 6:40 p.m., he smashed out one of the windows with his hand, which required medical treatment. Someone threw eggs on the driveway of Paul Snider at the intersection of Grant Shook Road and Worleytown Road Jan. 9 or 10. The mailbox of Joyce Barnes, 8225 Warmspring Road, was damaged between 6 p.m. Jan. 10 and 2:30 p.m. Jan. 11. Someone stole $50 from the coat pocket of a 13-year-old girl at 3282 Buchanan Trail West between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Jan. 11. |
