Louzon and Courter chosen as Students of the Month

Sarah Louzon and Jai Courter have been chosen as Greencastle-Antrim High School Students of the Month for November.
The program, conducted during the months of the academic year, is sponsored by the Greencastle Lions and Greencastle Antrim Lioness clubs. Selection of the students honored is done by faculty members and is based on service to school and community, extra curricular activities, academic standards, discipline and attitude.
The daughter of Mark and Donna Louzon, Sarah participates in Concert Band, Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, Drama Club and National Honor Society at G-AHS. She has been selected as a district and regional chorus vocalist.
Outside of school, Sarah is active in her youth group Praise Team and Camp JoyEl.
She enjoys singing and scrapbooking.
After graduation, Sarah will major in Elementary Education and Spanish at Grove City College with plans of teaching in the inner-city.
The son of Robert and Jane Courter, Jai is in the college preparatory/Early-to-College curriculum at G-AHS, where he is a member of the varsity soccer team. He has also been involved in the Drew Michael Taylor Foundation.
Jai has received Academic Achievement and Academic Excellence Awards, as well as the award for the highest semester average in Algebra 2 and Latin 2. He is a two-year varsity letter winner in soccer.
Activities outside of school include being a sports reporter for the Echo-Pilot newspaper, involvement in the youth group at Antrim Church and Young Life.
His hobbies and interests include playing soccer and golf and most sports for fun. Jai enjoys snowboarding in the winter and spending the summer at the beach. He also likes to listen to music and spend time with family and friends.
Following graduation, he plans to seek future education at a four-year college.
