Township changes meeting times in 2008

The Antrim Township Board of Supervisors decided to alternate meeting times in 2008, a throwback to years past.

On a suggestion by township manager Ben Thomas Jr., the board agreed last week to schedule half the regular meetings at 4:30 p.m. and half at the current 7 p.m.

Beginning in January, the first regular meeting of each month, which is always the second Tuesday, will be at 4:30.

The second regular meeting, which is the fourth Tuesday, will be at 7 p.m.

All worksessions will also be at 4:30. They are held on odd-numbered Tuesdays when necessary.

Thomas said the earlier meetings accomodate engineers and other professionals who occasionally must visit with the board.
