Greencastle Lions welcome District GovernorWedig

The Greencastle Lions Club welcomed 14-T District Governor Frank Wedig to its Nov. 8 meeting at the Antrim House Restaurant.
Club president Dr. Terry Musselman welcomed members and guests to the meeting.
Special guests included Wedig of the Harrisburg Noon Lions Club and Vice District Governor Joan Sleesman of the Upper Dauphin Area Lions Club.
Wedig provided updated information on the Campaign Sight First II Project. This worldwide project is raising funds to help prevent blindness, build eye care centers, train healthcare professionals, as well as help individuals with low vision. The goal is $150 million. Lions worldwide have raised $120 million to date.
He also shared experiences he has had the past few months as District Governor.

He also presented to Borough Councilman Lion Don Coldsmith a framed print of the winning Peace Poster from last year's contest. Wedig thanked him for his service to the community through his work with the borough.
The club provided holiday treats to children at the Christmas parade Nov. 17.
Members will be selling Christmas trees beginning Dec. 1 by Thomas Auto Care Shop on South Antrim Way, Greencastle. A variety of trees and sizes will be available for purchase.
Brooms, at a cost of $10, will also be available for puchase.
The next meeting will be Dec. 13 which will be the club's Christmas party at the Antrim House.
