Great Dane found near playground

A Great Dane was found in the 200 block of North Carlisle Street near the King Playground at 7:15 p.m. Nov. 12.

The female dog is light tan in color, healthy and very friendly, according to police. The dog did not have any identification.

Police said residents in the area had seen the dog walked by an elderly man in the past.

The dog was taken to the Antietam Humane Society on Lyons Road in Waynesboro.

Anyone with information on the owner, should call the Greencastle police or the humane society.
