Band prepares for championships

The G-AHS Field Band will head to the championships this coming weekend.

The Greencastle-Antrim High School Field Band finished second in the American Conference (Group 2) at the Red Lion Competition Saturday.

G-A scored an 88.7, less than a point behind winner Susquehannock, which secured an 89.3. Conestoga Valley was third with 86.35 and York Catholic fourth with an 83.95.

The next performance for the local group will be dureing the district playoff football game Friday, Nov. 9 on Kaley Feidl and then at the 4 p.m. Cavalcade of Bands Championships Sunday, Nov. 11 at Hershey.
