Job well done, Rudy

The Greencastle area has lost another fine citizen, Rudolf "Rudy" Wertime. He was an outstanding attorney, and served in many capacities.

I served on the borough council when he was the attorney for the borough. His knowledge on many occasions saved them money, especially when the sewer was put in. He attended every meeting and special meetings until it was finished. He was an asset to the town.

He was our attorney when we adopted our daughter in 1953. We lost her at age 48 in 2001. Shortly after her death, he called to offer his sympathy, which was greatly appreciated.

I am sure he will be remembered for his many years of service in our community.
