Thrivent Financial supports CROSS

CROSS recently hosted two banquets to celebrate 20 years of service to adults with developmental disabilities. Thrivent was an important part of each banquet. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is a faith-based membership organization called to improve the quality of life of its members, their families, and their communities by providing unparalleled solutions that focus on financial security, wellness and caring for others. The vision is to be the organization that Lutherans, Lutheran congregations and Lutheran institutions seek first when pursuing their financial goals. More than creating financial solutions, they add the unique capability of enabling Lutherans to demonstrate their care and concern for others.

On Sept. 21, a banquet was held at Chambersburg Mennonite Church with 260 friends of CROSS joining to celebrate God's faithfulness during the past 20 years. Thrivent, Franklin County was involved with this celebration.

A second banquet was held at Grantham Church in Grantham on Oct. 4 with 130 friends of CROSS and with West Shore Thrivent helping serve the banquet

CROSS has three personal care homes in the area for adults with developmental disabilities. Several residents have been with CROSS the entire 20 years. In addition, CROSS runs camps for children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities and sponsors coffee houses just for individuals with special needs.

CROSS depends on the generous support of friends in the community to meet their yearly expenses. God's faithfulness has been displayed through God's people for 20 years.
